Arthur Clearfield grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. At just 12 years old, Arthur would find himself pitching in a state championship game. Arthur’s pitching led the team to a state championship title wining by a 4-0 shutout. Growing up, Arthur Clearfield idolized legendary baseball great Roberto Clemente from the Pittsburgh Pirates and NFL football legend Gail Sayers from the Chicago Bears. Arthur’s favorite sports memory was in 1983 when “Dr. J” Julius Erving from the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team leaped up in the air over the head of Michael Cooper scoring a basket. This historical maneuver would later be known as “rocking the baby”. Arthur Clearfield admits his most disappointing sports memory was in 1977 when the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team lost to the Portland Trailblazers.
Today Arthur is a fan of all the local Philadelphia sports teams. Ryan Howard is Arthur’s favorite athlete. He is a power hitting first baseman from the former world champions, Philadelphia Phillies. Arthur Clearfield resides in Burlington, New Jersey with his Beautiful wife Joan. Joan Clearfield is also the executive producer for “The Artie Clear Show”. Whether Arthur is eating a steak with the team owners or enjoying a hot dog with the fans, Arthur is an animated individual. Arthur is the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back.
